How to trade

When you're ready...

The best time to start trading is when you’re confident that you have an understanding of the market (including the potential risks involved), and you have properly defined your investment goals and strategies.
These goals and strategies can be as simple or as complex as you like, but it’s important to have them — launching yourself into the market without them is like being unprepared for an exam. You may fluke it and do alright, but you’ll do much better if you know your subject.
Placing a trade with CommSec is easy. Once you’ve decided on the stock you want to buy, login to commsec.com.au using your Client ID and Password then select Trading. This will take you to the Place Order screen.
